Salmons, Bucks Agree on 5-year deal.

(Milwaukee, WI) -- The Milwaukee Bucks seem to be the most active team in this years free agency as they agreed to terms with their second acquisition of the summer, re-signing John Salmons to a five-year $40 million dollar deal.

Salmons was traded to the Bucks last season from the Bulls and made an immediate impact bringing to team to the brink of the playoffs and taking rookie point guard Brandon Jennings under his wing.

The 30 year-old Philadelphia native averaged 15.4 ppg and 2.8 assists for his career. This move in a hope to solidify an emerging team in Milwaukee and with the free agent signing of Drew Gooden the Bucks are looking to get a solid core of players.

The team went big in the recent draft taking two power forwards and a center and hope the signing of Salmons and the growth of point guard Brandon Jennings will be enough to take them further then the first round in the playoffs.
