(Philadelphia, PA) - The Philadelphia Phillies promoted their top position player prospect when they sent Dominic Brown to Triple-A Lehigh Valley from Double-A Reading.
In his time in Double-A Redding Brown was hitting .318 with 15 homeruns and 47 RBI. This is a great chance for Brown to start his fast track to the majors and if he is successful may lead to the Phillies becoming active before the trade deadline.
The Phillis have many decisions to make this summer with the possible free agency of Jayson Werth and the bebate on again left fielder Raul Ibanez.
Brown will make his debut with the Iron Pigs tomorrow when they take on the Durham Bulls.
Brown will also represent the Phillies at this years all-star game when he will play in the MLB Futures Game.
Here is a clip of Brown from this years preseason when he had two home runs in one game against the Tigers and made a spectacular catch in right field...
