Sixers Announce Preseason Schedule

(Philadelphia, PA)- On the verge of the NBA Schedule announcement the Philadelphia 76ers made an announcement of their seven game preseason warm-up schedule. The Sixers will spend most of the schedule on the road before they host two teams and the newly names Wells Fargo Center (Formerly Wachovia Center).

The Sixers will start the seven game schedule against the Atlantic Divisions New Jersey Nets at the Roanoke Civic Center in Roanoke Virginia. The team will then head to Boston to take on Shaquille O'Neal and the Big Three Celtics at the TD Bank Center.

After a visit to the New Jersey Nets at their new Newark arena they will host their first game at Wells Fargo when the Boston Celtics come to Philadelphia for a matchup on Tuesday Oct. 12th.


The next day the Sixers well head across to border to face the Toronto Raptors then once again play back-to-back days as they will take on the LeBron James-less Cleveland Cavaliers at a neutral city in Cincinnati, OH.

The Sixers will complete their seven game preseason schedule hosting A'Mare Stoudemire and the New York Knicks on Wednesday Oct. 20th at the Wells Fargo Center.

The complete regular season schedule will be announce at 2 p.m. today. The Sixers already known their opening night game as they will host LeBron James and the Miami Heat on Oct. 27th at 7 p.m.

Tues., Oct. 5: vs. New Jersey (at Roanoke Civic Center), 7

Wednesday, Oct. 6: at Boston, 7:30

Saturday, Oct. 9: at New Jersey, 1

Tuesday, Oct. 12: BOSTON, 7 (Wells Fargo)

Wednesday, Oct. 13: at Toronto, 7

Tues., Oct. 19: vs. Cleveland (at Cincinnati) , 7

Wednesday, Oct. 20: NEW YORK, 7 (Wells Fargo)
