After starting their season 0-7 the University of Pennsylvania Athletic Department removed Glen Miller of his head coaching duties today. Miller had been the head coach since 2006 when he took over for Philadelphia favorite Fran Dumphy.

The news was handed down Monday morning via press release. "...we have decided that a change is in the best interests of the program, the student-athletes, and the larger Penn basketball community." stated Athletic Director Steve Bilsky.

In his place Athletic Director Steve Bilsky has promoted former player and assistant coach Jerome Allen. Allen is in his second season as an assistant for the Quakers and was a former Quaker player and NBA pro, he was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves in 1995.

Penn is the only team in the Ivy League without a win and is entering the brunt of their non-conference schedule. They will take on Davidson on December 28th before heading to Duke for a match-up against the Blue Devils on Thursday December 31st.
